The 4th Iraq Mega Projects Conference & Exhibition took place from 29 September – 2 October 2013 at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre and successfully welcomed over 200 conference delegates, 40 exhibiting companies, 50 speakers and 1500 visitors across 2 days.
The two day conference successfully gathered together policy makers, investors and key players in Iraq’s oil field production industry to discuss new investment opportunities, projects and human development and infrastructural upgrades. An important part of the conference agenda illustrated the significance of effective human resources within the oil and gas industry.
The Iraq Mega Projects Exhibition hosted over 40 companies demonstrating their expertise, products and services to the 1,500 visiting project managers, purchasing managers and senior decision-makers. The Technical Seminars presented companies including Lukoil, GE Power & Water Process Technologies, ABB, Emerson Process Management and DOW Water & Process Solutions showcasing best practice and technology advancements in water and power technologies for the oil and gas industry and supply chain management solutions.
The Missan Breakfast was hosted by H.E Dawai Ali Lazim, Governor of Missan and gave new and existing industry players the opportunity to meet the Governor and discuss the second construction phase of its Halfaya oil field project and the opportunities the oil field’s reserves of over 4.09 billion has to offer. The Basra Province Breakfast was hosted by H.E Mohammed Ali Taher, Governors First Deputy, Basra, while Dr Ali Salhi, Oil & Gas Committee Chairman of the Kirkuk Governing Council led the Kirkuk Province Breakfast.
Hosted by Aon & Eversheds, the well received Iraq Mega Projects Interactive Workshop provided attendees with insights into doing business in Iraq including; commercial & legal knowhow, oil & gas opportunities & contracts and the issues regarding contracting with the Iraqi Government.
